SuSE 9 YAST Install Error
 

Hello everyone,

I am trying to install SuSE 9 and i have all the files on a local computer and set up as an FTP server. When i start the install the 46MB of info loads to the RAMDisk fine and then stats the YAST installer. However when i get to "Installation Settings" Under the software section the error i keep getting is "Cannot read package data from installaion media. Media Error?"
Can anyone please give me a hand with this, thank you in advance.

check the md5sum of your cd with the one you get from suse maybe there was a corrupten during burn process

SuSE says that this usually means that you missed a package when downloading the install tree. Check it and the packages. Make sure that your are telling YaST the right FTP directory.

or maybe just a permission failure if the ftp with the packages has a firewall or something like this did you check those easy things?
