SuSE 9.2 64Bit w/ Quake3

Hi there!
At first, everything worked fine on SuSE 9.2 32bit. But then I tried the 64Bit version, and I get probs with Quake3 based games.

Look at that:

----- Client Initialization Complete -----
----- R_Init -----
...loading libGL.so.1: Initializing OpenGL display
...setting mode 4: 800 600
Using XFree86-VidModeExtension Version 2.2
XF86DGA Mouse (Version 2.0) initialized
XFree86-VidModeExtension Activated at 800x600
Using 8/8/8 Color bits, 24 depth, 0 stencil display.
GL_RENDERER: Mesa GLX Indirect

***********************************************************
You are using software Mesa (no hardware acceleration)!
Driver DLL used: libGL.so.1
If this is intentional, add
"+set r_allowSoftwareGL 1"
to the command line when starting the game.
***********************************************************
...WARNING: could not set the given mode (4)
Initializing OpenGL display
...setting mode 3: 640 480

And yes, 3D is working!

glxgears
13732 frames in 5.0 seconds = 2746.400 FPS
16300 frames in 5.0 seconds = 3260.000 FPS

Other games (tuxracer, ut2k4 etc...) work fine!

ATi 980Pro
Asus K8VSE Deluxe
VIA K8T800
XP3000+ 64bit

I installed the games with "linux32 sh et-bla.run" as su.

Hope someone could help me.
