SuSE 9.1 NVIDIA Drivers do not work

I'm using a Geforce 4 MX440 and have tried to install the NVIDIA drivers from YaST Online Update. When I install and boot into X, I get a blank screen. YOU automatically modifies my Xfree86 configuration file. How can I get these drivers working?

I don't really like SusE's way of installing the nVidia drivers. My advice is to go to nVidia's website and follow their instructions. It isn't hard at all and their drivers are more up to date than what SusE publishes.

I've tried that but it won't install because it doesn't find the kernel source. I didn't see where to install the kernel source in SuSE Personal.
