Suse 9.1 and Daemons management

Hi,

I know this is a real dumb question but...
Is there a way to disable Daemons using the YaST utility? If not, how can I do that manually?

Thank you !

the run level editor in yast2, click the 'expert' tab and you will be able to enable/disable from there.

It's always nice to know the commandline version. In this case it would be /sbin/chkconfig

/sbin/chkconfig --add <service> #This adds <service> to the list and sets up the default run levels for that service.
/sbin/chkconfig --list #This shows all the settings.
/sbin/chkconfig --level 12345 <service> on #Turn on <service> in all run levels.
/sbin/chkconfig --level 245 <service> off #Turn off <service> in run levels 245.

If you want to edit all service settings at once then do it like this:
/sbin/chkconfig --edit
