SuSE 9.0 USB device support

I am sure this question has been asked before, but being a newbie here, my search has revealed nothing. So here is the question: SuSE says their ver. 9 support "most USB" devices. Will it support my USB connected printer and my USB connected external hard drive? Or will it take an expert on the subject to make them work? Both only have USB connections. Thank you. Karl

The external HD will probably work fine and be accessible using the usb storage module so you access it like a SCSI disk (probably /dev/sda1). As for the printer, look up the Cupsys compatibility lists.
