Suse 9.0: errors with "make"

I am trying to compile the orinico drivers (not that it really matters)

But when I try and run make I am getting the following:

linux:~/orinoco-0.13e # make
make -C /lib/modules/2.4.21-144-default/build SUBDIRS=/root/orinoco-0.13e modules
make: *** /lib/modules/2.4.21-144-default/build: No such file or directory. Stop.
make: *** [modules] Error 2
I am pretty new to linux, can anyone help?

build directory is a symlink to /usr/src/linux so type as root in /lib/modules/2.4.blabla directory:
ln -s /usr/src/linux build
and retry the compilation
