Suse 8.2 pro. Cluster ?
I found a copy of Suse 8.2 pro at in the open bid at a store for next to nothing. Would I be able to use that to setup a Linux Cluster or would I need to buy more software? I would like to setup a render farm and use Studio 8 for Linux.

You can use SuSE 8.2 as an OS on the various machines in your cluster. However SuSE no longer includes cluster software (Beowulf) in their distribution. I think that SuSE 6.4 was the last SuSE distribution to include Beowulf. So you will have to get some cluster software to run on top of SuSE 8.2. Here is an explanation of how to set up a cluster: http://blizzard.rwic.und.edu/~nordlie/miniwulf/ Here are some threads with links to Beowulf information: http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...hreadid=101154 http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...hreadid=129010 ___________________________________ Be prepared.
