SuSE 7.3 and USB

Hello,

I' several open issues concerning USB. first of all USB is working. with a small program "usbview" I see all devices wich are connected with vendor code, producer name and so on - in /proc/bus/usb/001 I see all the processes. So normaly every thing should work.
Second I have installed a perm_dämon which sets the rights for all connected procs to 666.

BUT !
if I try to mount a ROM_device the process is frozen (no ctrl-C or kill-command helps)
If a program for a Digi-Kam the Camera is seen and identified, but a list or cp of pictueres is not possible.

Is there any body having an idear what's going on here ?

Bset regards
Ramon
