SUSE 10.1 how tp get into command mode


Just finished installing SUSE 10.1

I would like to get into command mode and learn
vi and awk. Clicking "Help" so I could investigate the above did not work.

I would appreciate being pointed in theright direction.

either open up a terminal app (like xterm) or hit Ctrl-Alt-F1
