suse 10.0 and ati tv-out

ok.. so i have opensuse 10.0 and i have ati m9000 (laptop).. i got my tv out working but now i have small problem.. i can't set my laptop screen to 1400x1050 and then set my tv-out resolution to (something whats good for tv) like 640x480.. so now i have 1400x1050 in my laptop and i have same resolution in my tv (so this means i have to move my mouse to see everything in my tv)
does anybody have good ideas for me ?

No, I actually don't

But... With Nvidia I would use a metamode, so I assume that something similar exists with ATI's devices. Are you using the frglx (?) driver or the Xorg ones? The metamode would look something like this:
Option "TVOutDevice" "CRT,TV"
MetaMode "1400x1050,640x480"

If not direct help, hopefully it can get you launched in the right direction.

Good Luck!
