SuSE's grub2-mkconfig finds only one of three kernels of fedora -- the oldest

I use triple boot with SuSE the main system and Fedora 17 and Ubuntu 12.04 riding along. Recently I upgraded to SuSE 12.2. While I still used the old GRUB legacy, all went well. Then I upgraded to SuSE's GRUB2 and when I now start Fedora the oldest of the three existing kernels will be booted.

Ubuntu has a similar problem, here I find in the GRUB2-submenu "Alternative options for Ubuntu" three times the same kernel in normal as wall as in rescue mode (i.e. six entries).

I (re?)-ran "grub2-mkconfig -o /boot/grub2/grub.cfg" to no avail. Any ideas?

Correction / Addendum: Fedora has a submenu too, but with only three entries (no failsafes). Oldest kernel is on top, newest the last.

So the task(s) would be
  • getting the newest kernels into the main menu
  • reversing the order of kernels in the submenus to get the newest first
  • adding failsafe modes for fedora
Any ideas where and by what that is controlled? Thanks in advance...
