Suggestions needed for Calendar Database

Ok I had a customer come in today who wanted to know if this was possible. He has a office of 6 computers. What he wants to do is keep a database of calendar events (schedules/todo/etc) for his staff. He wants to then be able to edit/add events to each user's calendar and the staff member to then be able to log into the network and sync their PDA to the database with the updated calendar. Is this even possible? Does anyone have a good suggestions for a software suite to try?

Your talking about a Personal Information Manager (PIM) that has a builtin calendar and PDA sync capabilities. I looked around quickly and found a few projects you might look into.

Links:
http://www.gnome.org/gnome-office/gnome-pim.shtml supports vCalendar and will soon support iCalendar
http://korganizer.kde.org/ supports the two dominant standards for storing and exchanging calendar data, vCalendar and iCalendar
http://ximian.com/products/evolution/ Supports iCalendar
