Hello,
I would like to see a good mp3 Player like Winamp developed for Ubuntu 10.04 LTS. A video joiner like Kate's Video Joiner. I use VLC and Movie Player most of the time but, Rhythmbox is a bust if you want to hear a file (mp3) at a time. The only thing I can get working is a playlist. There is no hurry, just a suggestion as I can make do with what I have now.
Thanks for your time, Popatop

As for MP3 players, have you tried Amarok, Audacious or Banshee?

Thanks Nylex,
I didn't like Amarok because of sound. Audacious is okay but, choppy at the beginning of the file. Banshee is great, I wish I had found and tried this program before. Thanks again, (for your recommendations.)

There are many more (and better in every way) formats than MP3, and all the programs mentioned aren't limited to MP3 files.
MTK358,
Thanks for your reply. I understand this but, I wish you could explain it to my portable mp3 player. :-)
Maybe someday, someone will produce a small portable which will play all or most formats.
Thanks very much for your reply. I downloaded Deadbeef and like it's plan and easy to use design, plus the great sound.
This program should be recommended or given more mention; I know I will.
