Question Suggestion for a password manager ?

Hi all,

Everybody needs a password manager these days, I guess :-)

I've been using Ilium Software's proprietary eWallet (using wine) ever since my windows days and it fulfills my needs.

However I now have an android phone on which I would appreciate to have my passwords handy. There are several password managers for this platform. But what made me think about ditching eWallet is the one called "KeePassDroid" which is designed to use the same file format as Keepass (windows) which is an open-source project, and more interestingly its "keepassx" Linux counterpart.

So the questions are:
- should I switch from eWallet to keepassx + KeePassDroid ?
- is there a better solution ? I don't mind paying a few bucks to get Linux + android programs but I would really appreciate an open data format this time, and even more importantly, I don't want to hand over my passwords to a web company.
- I have quite a lot of junk stored in eWallet, so is there any app that would also provide some kind of data import from eWallet ?

Thanks in advance for your advice :-)

I really like keepass in its various incarnations. It works spectacularly in X, Windows 7, and my phone. It loads a bit slow on my G1 but works well otherwise. The X and Windows 7 versions are top notch.
