sudden xmms error.. no clue

hey, ive been running xmms for a long time and all of a sudden now i get an error when launching xmms

lynx@Kv:~/logs$ xmms
/usr/bin/xmms: line 1: [Desktop: command not found
/usr/bin/xmms: line 19: X-KDE-SubstituteUID=false: command not found
/usr/bin/xmms: line 20: X-KDE-Username=: command not found

i really have no clue about the errors and google turned up nothing, i cant remeber doing anything to xmms to when the error started to occur, any help would be appericated, thanks.
