Hello and welcome to Linuxquestions.org! As for the software, can you be a bit more specific? A common form of subliminal messaging is done with video or audio, inserting a very small clip of the subliminal message into a video or audio track. With a video for example, you might have 1 frame inserted with your hidden message. I don't know of any software designed specifically for this function, but it's not hard to do with most standard video or audio editors.
