Stupid KDE question
I have pretty much used Gnome, Gnome, and uh...Enlightenment. How do you change resolution in KDE? I didn't find anything under Control Center, I even did a search for resolution...all in vain.

Depends.
You can use control center-->peripherals-->display or if you are using a nvidia card use the NVIDIA X Server Settings or if its not there run (nvidia-settings) and remember to save new config to xorg.conf file :).
Hope that gets it. |
I don't have either. Display, or nVIDIA (<--as far as I know)

Workaround
Add the resolutions/modes you want in xorg.conf
then, when you are in kde, control+alt+[plus or minus] literally control>alt>+ control>alt>- this "scrolls" through your modes list in order as far as i know, it doesn't scroll color this works in any x-environment, i think. [edit] whoops...(this is the second today i must be pretty out of it]: this makes you have to scroll around your screen, which isn't cool. (like when you have to put the mouse on the edge to move it) |
do you know how to do it without the "scrolling"? Its kind of annoying...

try right clicking on the desktop > configure desktop>display
that may help if you are using LCD and you select a resolution larger than it can display it WILL scroll regardless. |
