Unhappy stuffit under yellowdogPPC -help please...

Ok so i'm pretty new at this but i have been able to install a few things from tar.gz files and from rpms.
I installed Stuffit for linux from a file called "stuffit520.611linux-i386.tgz" (this was the only thing i could find) i now have the <stuff> and <unstuff> files in my <usr/bin/> directory.
but when i try to run them from the command line it returns <cannot execute binary file>. I don't really care what app unstuffs my sit files but if anyone knows how that'd be great.
thanks

Not sure I have an answer but maybe a couple ideas.

-What are the permissions set to for stuff & unstuff?
-are stuff & unstuff in your path? (use "which stuff" to find out)
-what happens if you run "stuff" without any arguments or options?

good to see another yellowdog user. I've been trying to get it running but can't get X to work with my PB 3400/200.
