stuck @ nvidia installer

SmartCom Linux (Red Hat based) Multimedia Edition

in attempting to install nvidia driver, i get:

ERROR: Unable to find the kernel source tree for the currently running kernel. Please make sure you have installed the kernel source files for your kernel and that they are properly configured; on Red Hat Linux systems, for example, be sure you have the “kernel-source” or “kernel-devel” RPM installed.......

after installing kernel-devel, i still get stuck at the same error message .

anyone know what to do next?

In fact not difficult, if it's not a very old version.

1) su
2) yum install kernel kernel-devel
.... providing packages which fits together.
3) Reboot .. to enable the new kernel.

4) From CLI :
sh NVIDIA-Linux-<arch>-XXX.xx.pkg.run
.....
