streets and trips for lmandrake

I'm looking for a program that is almost eqiovalent to msn streets and trips, basically something that I can look up map info from without having to connect to the internet. any suggestions?

if yo9u have streets and trips you can use wine or crossover office to install it. as for a linux program, id love to see one too. id even be more then willing to pay for it.

How well would it work?? I love the idea of using wine...fact is I'm a mandrake 10.1 noob, just instaled it yesterday and right now my first priority is to get my damn wireless card working.

there are plenty of posts here to help with the wifi (search is your friend as is google) i dont know if wine could do it or not, but you can get a free 30day trial of crossover office (wine on steroids) and if that works its something like $40USD for their software.

i tried crossover (professional edition)...no luck

know of a good replacement product?

can't figure out how to compile "roadmap" at sourceforge.net...
not even sure if it would help

thanx

Mappoint & Streets do ot work in WINE, because Gates set them to only run on 98se or better... Wine does not register as that...

Delhorme Maps does not work either on wine... has errors... There has got to be some software somewhere...

www.google.com/maps

check that out. it takes mapquest or yahoo maps and puts them to shame. it has the same level of clerity in map detail as streets and trips, plus it is interactive and getting more accuarate every day. it is still in beta, but you might like it.
