Streaming Web Server advice needed

My boss is interested in putting in a web server for the purpose of holding video webcast to promote new products etc, as well as have archived video streams for technical tutorials, faq etc. It will probably not be used really heavily since we are very specialized and the customer base is relatively small.
Since I am new to Linux I am not too familiar with what Linux components/open source software is needed or available. The distribution would be Red Hat (thats what our IT provider prefers) and Im assuming apache would be the web server. That is about as far as my knowledge goes.

So my question is can anyone give me a recommendation of a setup that would work for the purposes I described above? I would really appreciate any feedback. The IT place charges 75 bucks an hour so I would like to do as much myself as possible.

Thanks in advance!!
