Streaming video

if I get my mplayer properly linked to my mozilla, will I be able to watch clips on the web that use windows media player to view. Is that the way to go about this(viewing streaming video)?

Yes, but look at for info on "properly linking" to mozilla

The real trick is getting Mplayer setup all well and good, be sure to grab all the codecs packs to can, compile mplayer instead of installing from a package, and be sure it picks up all your codecs properly.
