Strange xine error
Hi there!
I use slacke 10.0, kde 3.3.0 and xine 0.99.1 I have a ll needed codecs... I know it, because most of the time everythings works... Now, from time to time I come across a file (mpg or wmv) that xine will not play. It loads and shows a black or a green but big pixeled screen and dies with this error: "Your system seems too slow. the amount of dropped frames is too high" I have an AMD 3000+ with 512MB and everything else works fine too.... Anyone has a clue what this is all about? Greetings, Sascha |
It could be that you are not using the proper drivers for your graphics card, but this is nothing but a wild guess. Alternatively, you could try to tweak a bit the graphic settings in Xine's menu and/or try a different player for testing purposes, as mplayer. I prefer mplayer over xine, by the way.
Also, try running "top" to see if a program/service is devouring your RAM. There're memory leaks sometimes... Good luck! |
