strange video size/dimensions (xine, mplayer, etc)
I have this strange problem that when viewing videos they appear in the wrong dimensions.
This results in wasted screen space and squashing of the picture...
The problem has been present since the following updates:
Jan 21 22:56:09 Updated: ati-fglrx.i386 8.21.7.1-0.lvn.1.4
Jan 21 22:56:16 Updated: ffmpeg.i386 0.4.9-0.lvn.0.20.20051228.4
Jan 21 22:56:19 Updated: libquicktime.i686 0.9.7-0.lvn.8.4
Jan 21 22:56:29 Updated: transcode.i386 1.0.2-0.lvn.1.4
Jan 21 22:56:42 Updated: kernel-module-fglrx-2.6.14-1.1656_FC4.i686 8.21.7.1-0.lvn.1.4
So I am guessing it has something to do with the ATI drivers?
Even more interestingly I have found that if I have multiple video players open the problem does not occur. For example, if I open xine (without even playing a video in it) and then open a second instance of xine and play the video in that instance then the resolution/dimensions are correct.
Anyone got any ideas?
(if pictures are necessary to better explain my problem could someone tell me how to take screenshots that include the video stream? I am using KDE and have tried ksnapshot but the video just gets turned to blue)
