Strange!!! Media check for FC3 fails exactly at 99% for all 4 discs

Just received 4 discs of Fedora Core 3 from my brother who send it to me by courier. Before installing the software I went for media check of the discs. A strange behaveour observed.........all the 4 discs failed exactly at 99%. After 99% the media check wait for a while and then a message displayed. It is as follows:
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The media check of the image :
Fedora Core 3 disc 1
is complete, and the result is : FAIL
The image which was just tested has errors. This could be due to a corrupt download or a bad disc. If applicable, please clean the disc and try again. If this test continues to fail you should not continue the install.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The above message is for disc 1. For other discs the message is same except the respective disc numbers on line 2 of the above message.

I do not think that the download is corrupt because i know very well that my brother uses it.

Where is the problem? Is it on the disc surface on which it was burnt? Please let me know your answer.

Should it be wise to go for an install from these discs?

Does it work if you install it? For me disk one passes the test but the others fail. The install goes without a hitch, the disks seem to be fine. At first I was put off when disk two failed the media check so I burnt another copy, then downloaded it again and again from different mirrors. Always disk two failed. Then I tried to install it and it went without a problem. What have you got to lose by trying to install it?

I face the same problem when I go for the mediacheck.

I downloaded the images 3 times from the mirror sites and once from the main redhat-fedora site. All efforts showed the same result ...mediacheck for the discs (except the first one) showed a "fail" msg.

Is it okay if I go for the installation?

What happened with these iso images of Fedora ?
