Stop 'autorun' at startup


I am new linux. Autorun is loaded everytime my system boots. I dont need that program.
How can i stop this.

Never heard of it. What is it? What distribution do you use? How does it look like? Try to be more descriptive.

Autorun is a utility to automatically play a cdrom. In my computer it runs automatically after booting so a cdrom gets auto mounted due to it.

I need to stop its running during booting. How can i do that?

it is loaded during init, or just when your window manager
starts...and what distribution are you using?

Iam using PCQLinux (but it looks exactly as RH9). How can i remove it from startup
