Stock in WINDOWS!! HELP!


Yo!

I've just installed windows on a different partition than SuSE 9.1

when I reboot, I don't get a boot menu.. the computer oots into WinXP directly..

I tried changing the boot.ini, manually and with BOOTPART.exe
I tried using the SuSE CD.. didn't work..
I tried booting mamangers, didn't work..

please guys HELP!

at least tell me how I can delete windowsXP so I can get back to SuSE and do everything from there..

thanks in advance..

You have to install windows _before_ linux. That's because win overwrites MBR (the boot loader) and allows only itself to be booted.

Your suse cd should work. Check in bios (press f2 or something similar during startup) if the boot order is correct. In particular, cd-rom must be before HDD. Linux CD should allow you to correct your MBR (to install the boot-loader again), and then then the dual-boot box should work fine. Unfortunately I haven't done it myself.
