Still cant find and use gcc

I'm pretty sure that gcc was installed during the RedHat installation. I saw a progress bar installing the gcc. Yet, I can't find thus can't use it now. Is it due to a path problem...or what? How can I tell?

Try rpm -q gcc

This should confirm whether the package is installed.

in redhat 7.2 installation (and most other distros) gcc is located at /usr/bin/gcc

try to find it using "ls /usr/bin/gcc" and confirm that /usr/bin is in your PATH

echo $PATH
