Question Startup - Harddrive formatting


What is the key sequence to select formatting of the harddrive at bootup.

i have a feeling you want to know this for the use of bad, rather than good...

Some guy at work is asking me this question:

Can you enter a format utilitiy by pressing a key at boot up?
