Starting Konqueror in Split View

Hi everybody,

Quick question about Konqueror. At the moment I have all these neat little icons on my desktop like "home" or "movies" or "webdesign" and so forth. However, I often use Konqueror in the exact same fasion for certain tasks (e.g.: Webediting: Split view, Detailed List, One side "public_html" the other side "gimp_temp_folder") and was wondering if there was a way to create a desktop link that would start Konqueror with _exactly_ these settings and paths?

In hope for reply,

Napper

There sure is. All you have to do is change it how you like it then goto settings->save view profile"The one you are using". Choose a name for it.
To start konqueror with this profile, type konqueror --profile thenameyouchose

This is bucking frilliant man! It doesn't work with folders itself, but if you add a new Application script it sure does, and that's all that counts. Now I can customize Konqueror for all my file browsing needs, and there are lots of them. Thanks a bunch man!

BTW. Just got myself registered as a Linux user yesterday (#350677). Man - first I thought this was a geeks dream machine kinda thing, the whole Linux issue. But this OS R-O-C-K-S. Never thought it would actually outperform Windows, in terms of speed/stability/usability. Well, I'm fully converted! (just had to get rid of that, t'was on my mind. Anyway, thanks for the help man!
