Starting amarok crashes firefox and vice versa

I'm running Gentoo Linux, with the 2.6.11-gentoo-r6 kernel. When I start amarok while firefox is running, my KDE 3.3 session crashes. When I start firefox while amarok is running, my KDE session crashes. I'm running amarok-cvs v. 1.3 (which is unstable according to the Gentoo devs) and Firefox 1.0.3 stable. However, running amarok 1.2 stable also produces the same problem.

GDB output (I was running firefox and started amarok from the terminal):

Code:

gdb amarokapp

Now the output from having amarok running and running gdb on firefox:

Foxytunes Extension

Would you by chance happen to have the foxytunes extension for firefox installed? Foxytunes may cause amarok (and strangely, the entire X session-I've experienced this myself)

YES! Thanks. Foxytunes was crashing the X session, just as you said. Now it's uninstalled and my problems are over! Thank you, again. It's been a constant source of irritation.
