Hi I want to start vino everytime the session start for remote access to it. However I am on a KDE machine, is there a way to configure kde to start vino-session when the KDE session starts?

Use KRFB, the KDE equivalent, instead. :-)

KRFB is working very extrange in UBUNTU 8.10 (Intrepid).

When I try to access my linux box FROM Windows XP using realvnc viewer, I get connected but the mouse doesn't access anything, just moving the mouse around and clicking on opened windows doesn't do nothing, but I can see the mouse moving in the original linux box and the mouse open windows and click on buttons etc.

Also the text in the vncviewer in Windows XP does show fuzzy.

I reviewed many search results regarding KRFB in KDE. None had a performance solution for KRFB, but of those that had an alternative suggestion, they all highly recommended using x11vnc instead of KRFB. Most of the above sights claimed that Gnome's Vino offers the best performance, but that doesn't appear to be an option for KDE.

While KRFB worked for me, it hogged an very large amount (~20-80% of overall proc) of resources on my box (3.3GHz 4-proc Xeon w/ 12GB RAM) when in use, but idle. I get much better results with x11vnc - less than 1% of resource use when in use, but idle.
