Is there any API'S available for Start office which could be useful for manipulating star office documents,similar to Microsoft Word objects,excel objects etc etc..I wannt to read Word documents using PHP scripts and display the contents in an HTML page.My PHP is running on Red hat Linux with Apache.I have done the same with Window based PHP by calling the Windows object.How do i do it using Linux??

I guess the best thing to do is check their web site. Also, try checking OpenOffice, KOffice and AbiWord, as they can also read M$Office files (to some extent)... I think there should be a PHP/Perl-compatible API for Office documents out there... I may have stumbled upon it a while ago, but it was a long time ago, I don't remember now...

Is it possible that i may file content into a mail chunk and later retreive the content from the mail chunk.
