sssd fails to work in between

Hi,

we have sssd (cent os 6.2, x_64) configured for user authentication on more that 300 machines and 1 LDAP server (cent os 6.5, x_64). However, sometimes, some clients stops authenticating user requests and then resumes automatically. can it be memory issue?

More likely a network congestion issue - if it happens when everyone/most people try to login simultaneously.

Hi, thanks.. Is there any solution to this ? i mean changes to be done from sssd side? or any other suggestions? we can not reduce the no. of logins.

Find out what is actually causing the problem. If it is just network congestion against a single LDAP server, try two. I wouldn't have thought LDAP was the problem (not with 300).

Are there messages on the LDAP server about problems at the time of the failures?
