ssl installation gone sour?
currently im unsure if ssl is on my computer.

i installed gaim earlier, had to reinstall ssl.

now, my mozilla says 'no ssl' basically, even went through the preferences and checked everything to go, same error.

id love any help :)

also, is down, so i cant get mouse gestures, any ideas? :D

As root, run ldconfig -v | grep ssl to check what SSL libs you've got installed. You may have to do this as root.

If you're running an RPM-based distribution you can also check what SSL packages you have installed by running rpm -qa | grep ssl, I believe.

This is what happens:

root@computer:/# ldconfig -v | grep ssl
ldconfig: Can't stat /usr/local/lib/mozilla: No such file or directory ->

I believe the mozilla-psm package is the one that provides secure access for the Mozilla suite, so you could try reinstalling that. You obviously do have libssl (0.9.7) installed.
