ssh2.so


im trying to install ssh2 support for php in accordance to these directions

http://us3.php.net/manual/en/ref.ssh2.php

i installed openssl and libssh2 using YUM on CentOS4 the problem is when i need a copy of ssh2.so theres no ssh2.so anywhere on my machine. so i was wondering if someone could send me theirs? or maybe someone has a better idea

Looking at their instructions you're meant to BUILD it

Run the pear installer for PECL/ssh2: pear install ssh2

i know but i always have trouble with my server when i try to compile software myself. my server is a VPS and has a funny setup. is it not possible to let php work with libssh2 that was installed wiht a package manager instead of being built yourself?

Should be - but of course the setup will have to match yours (in terms
of installed libs)...
