SSH Error to remote Server

Good day

I have a remote server which runs some mission critical applications, this morning when I try to connect to it i received the following error

ssh FATAL :ssh_buffer_append_space : buffer grows too large!

I am assuming this is serious, what is the problem and how do I go about fixing it??

I couldn't find out a lot on the net about that error. Maybe the other applications have used up all of the resources, but there is a slash dot article about an ssh exploit.
The server seems to be down. Got slashdot'd I guess.

When I followed up again, this is very old info. It is for version 3.7.1 which is very old.
Sorry. Can you log in directly and look at top?
