Squirrelmail & shared calendar plugin & problems with RFC2445

Currently running SM 1.4.10 and have just installed the latest shared calendar plugin, though I note that this has not been updated since 2005.

I'm having problems with the recurring event feature and looking at the PHP code event_manage.php I can see where it is not working IAW the RFC.

Specifically, if I set monthly event for, say, 6th of the month, then the event will recur on the 6th of each month - fine, but if I check a specific day then the event occurs weekly on that day, not monthly, and there is also no ability to specify, say, the second Tuesday of each month.

The RFC defines how these should be specified but the event_manage.php does not do it correctly.

Has anyone looked into this or is this plugin no longer being maintained.
