Question Squirrel Mail Error message

Hi Everyone

I and running Redhat 9. I have Apache running fine and PHP installed. POP3 email is working and sendmail is running.
I have installed squirrel mail 1.4 and while i see the login page online at /webmail when i attempt to login with any user i get this error. "Error opening ../data/default_pref Default preference file not found or not readable!"

I have checked all the permissions and the apache user has all permissions to access all squirrel files and all users have read and execute. Also the verified that the data and attachment directories are referenced to the full location in the config.conf file.

The default_pref file shows this

any help would be appreicated
