squid_ldap_auth

hi all

I am having squid server installed on one system with fedora in it and have another server with Redhat linux 9 , it has been configured with openldap.

i am using squid server with ldap authentication..

the problem is squid is not authenticating the users in ldap server.
i have written the following lines in squid .conf for authentication

auth_param basic program /usr/lib/squid/squid_ldap_auth -b ou=People,dc=mydomain,dc=com -h ldap.mydomain.com
auth_param basic children 5
auth_param basic realm authentication servers
auth_param credentialsttl 2 hours

added the password authentication for the particular acl .

The client browser asks the username and password but does not authenticate.

On the ldap server i configured squid to check and given the same lines above and
and added authentication on my acl

on the ldap server i open the browser for which it asks authentication , i give username and password it authenticates

please help me with my problem

Regards
Niranjan

What do the Squid access logs show? They should be detailing whether the authentication details are being sent and the status returned from your LDAP server
