Squid proxy server--- Please set 'visible_hostname'
 

Dear all,

My friend install the Redhat 9.0 for me 2 years ago.
It is very good OS. I use the HTTP, Email , FTP server. I want to activate the Proxy server : Squid 2.5 , I find some problem :

FATAL: Could not determine fully qualified hostname. Please set 'visible_hostname'

Pls let me know how to determine fully qualified hostname / set 'visible_hostname'?
And which file should I need to modify ?

hi u need to set ur host name what i did was set it in the squid.conf
visible_hostname yourhostname e.g
[root@linux ~]
here ur hostname will be linux
