While trying to retrieve the URL: http://www.google.com.ph/

The following error was encountered:

Unable to determine IP address from host name for www.google.com.ph

The dnsserver returned:

Refused: The name server refuses to perform the specified operation.

This means that:

The cache was not able to resolve the hostname presented in the URL.
Check if the address is correct.

Hi,

The squid.conf seems OK to me, the error you posted looks like that your network DNS is unable to resolve IP Address for google.com.ph so , first confirm with $nslookup google.com.ph ,check whether DNS is able to resolve this url or not? as squid has nothing to do with URL resolution, it will pass the query to its DNS and will get the IP to get the page.

thanks
