make a script called squid.sh

Code:
#!/bin/bash
/path/to/squid/
and save it to /etc/init.d/ and chmod +x it. then ln -s /etc/init.d/squid.sh /etc/rc.Xd/S99squid.sh. replace X with either 3 or 5 depending on which runlevel you run.
