squid 3.1.10


hi guys, i am new to squid, i like to know how NOT to block flash. i saw mime.conf and squid.config, i am not sure which to edit. currently my proxy is working but just that i cant watch video on some sites.

flash wouldn't be blocked by default. if you've not done something to do it explicitly, which you could remove, then it won't be blocked.

hmm...for some reason video steaming cannot work, not even on youtube. any suggestion?

not without some useful information about your environment. All you've said is that you've not changed a quid config...

Using developer tools on your browser is a useful way to seee what web requests are being premitted or blocked etc.

withing the company, the proxy works, streaming also work. externally, proxy works, steaming does not.

can i assume my isp is using some kind of transparent proxy?

you can assume all you want, doesn't mean you're right, and you've still shown us nothing at all to help you.
