SQL MD5 checksum error

I am trying to install MySQL 3.23.53a on RH8. I downloaded the server and client rpms onto my winxp pc and then ftp-ed them to my linux box. When I try to install, I get an error something like

"MD5: Bad Expected ( lots of hex != lots of hex):
package cannot be installed"

I have tried redownloading, but it keeps giving me the same error. Any help would be appreciated.

Ok Nobody answer that- I'll answer my own question . Did you know that rpms have to be ftp-ed in binary? I do now. Maybe this will help some else in the future.
