spyware cleaners for linux?

I'd like to ask you guys if there are any spyware cleaners for linux as I am aware that kazaalite has spywares too and that when we use the program, we would probably need some spyware cleaner to clean all those spywares off our computers....

Firstly kazaalite does not include spyware, of course if you are silly enough to run exe's downloaded from the kazaa network then you will have a lot of spyware, porn dialers, trojan, viruses and worms....

Secondly kazaalite is a windows program.

The closest thing to a spyware detector for linux is chkrootkit, not really the same thing.

Uh.... Linux is open source, so you can actually examine the source code.

Get out of a Windows mindset if you are going to use Linux.

And to answer your next quiestion.....

cuz i realised when i was running windows and kazaalite is that after running kazaalite, i ran ad-aware and found quite a number of spyware still.... although not as much as kazaa....
So, I can safetly run kazaalite under wine and not be affected by those spywares?

hey,

maybe did you surfed the net while you where downloading your files from kazaa, cause those could be your source of spywares. and by far i doubt it that the spywares will even run on linux, coz windows and linux are two different systems, so certain key elements needed in windows for it to work are not present in linux ...... (which is a good thing) and that really is the beauty of it all :)

so all in all i think you should not fear spyware in the linux world.

ok.... thanks a lot then ! I'm just one more step in my final evaluation and then i'd make Linux my permanent OS..... looks like it has been performing up to my expectations even in terms of user-friendliness....
