splitting a track into many equal tracks

Does anybody know if there is a program in linux that will take a large wav file and cut it into smaller equal length tracks. I take a sermon every sunday that is about an hour long and with spin doctor in windoze i cut it into 18 equal sized tracks put an intro at the beginning and a small final track at the end. I then burn it onto a CD with no delay between the tracks. People can then listen to it starting at any track or straight through without interuption. I would really like to be able to do this is linux as I do everything else in linux and would really like to get rid of windoze.

I will give it a try and see how it does. I am also looking for a way to record from 6 cdwriters at the same time. I use cdrecord max in windoze. It might be possible to write a script to do it with linux. One problem at a time though. Sometimes I wish the day was 24+ hours so I had time to do all this...

Thanks
Jim
