Splashy won't change themes for startup (only on shutdown)

I have splashy installed on my Debian Lenny system, and it works nicely. I've sorted out all the Grub and framebuffer issues.

However, I cannot change themes no matter what I do. It will play the theme I choose when I shutdown, but not when I start up. I have used splashy config, I have edited the config.xml file, I have even deleted every theme except the one I want to use, yet every time I boot, I see the same penguin with a paint splash on its stomach.

Does anybody know what might fix this?

Thanks!

I got it fixed by updating the initramfs.

Question Splashy shows theme only during shutdown

I have a very similar problem with Splashy on my Arch system. It shows the desired theme during shutdown, but not boot-up. Now I've run into some solutions like this one, but still didn't figure out how to make it work on my system. Can anybody help me with this?

http://splashy.alioth.debian.org/wiki/tips

The thing is, it works really easy for me on Debain, but it does give instructions for other distros, see if that helps... it really comes down to updating the initramfs

Well, on Arch there is a tool called mkinitcpio, which is meant for building/rebuilding initramfs. I did that. In fact I did everything, that was advised in Arch's wiki entry concerning Splashy.
On Debian wiki tips, which you mentioned above, there is a file /etc/default/splashy which I don't have, and it's not even mentioned in Arch's wiki. So where to add this

Code:
ENABLE_INITRAMFS=1
???
