splashtop client on mint?
ive been having a difficult time trying to get splashtop client to run on linux.. my goal here is to use my laptop with mint 17 to stream apps and PC games from my windows computer (that i use for gaming) as an alternative to steam in home streaming because there are non steam apps id like to run remotely
so.. seems the client they have only works for ubuntu 12.04 (thats like three years ago?).. why they havent updated their stuff to something a bit more newer and more relevant i dont know but its getting pretty aggravating trying to get it to work with something newer.. also splashtop is optimized for AMD GPUs so ill get better performance with it than with something else so, can anyone get this to work on mint 17?.. or am i better off switching to another distro that maybe has a working package for a more updated system?.. perhaps arch? this is the error i get Traceback (most recent call last): File "launcher/SRRemote.strip-py", line 89, in <module> File "launcher/SRRemote.strip-py", line 85, in main File "launcher/SRRemote.strip-py", line 38, in __init__ File "launcher/SRMainWin.strip-py", line 328, in run_step File "launcher/SRConfig.strip-py", line 396, in getTeams File "/usr/lib/python2.7/xml/dom/minidom.py", line 1928, in parseString return expatbuilder.parseString(string) File "/usr/lib/python2.7/xml/dom/expatbuilder.py", line 940, in parseString return builder.parseString(string) File "/usr/lib/python2.7/xml/dom/expatbuilder.py", line 223, in parseString parser.Parse(string, True) xml.parsers.expat.ExpatError: no element found: line 1, column 1 |
What did you install and where did you get it?
