I have tried installing spamassassin using CPAN, RPMs, and downloading all of the source and compiling - and no dice.

i am running RH9 and sendmail

if i run CPAN or try to compile the source out of .gz, the first warning is that my pod2man is not in PATH. But if I just type pod2man and execute (in the same dir.) - it is there, so PATH seems valid. I even went so far to copy it into the directory and it still tells me that it is not in the path

Secondly, when the makefile is created using the PERL script, and if I run the make, I get "Makefile:94: *** missing separator. Stop."

this is nuts

any pointers would be great....the spam in my box is growing . it is taunting me. now it as about 60 -70 a day.
